Student Film Festival Poster Competition.
The Austin Polish Society (APS) is a non-profit organization that promotes the arts and culture of Poland. The most important fundraising event of the year for APS is the annual Austin Polish Film Festival (APFF). The APFF includes 6 or more feature length films by Polish directors and several documentary films and animated films as well as short student films. This year APS is sponsoring a student poster design competition for the APFF. The winning poster design will serve as the official event poster for the 5th Austin Polish Film Festival (APPF), being held in Austin, Texas from November 4-7 & November 13-14, 2010.
The attached document serves as the guidelines for the student competition. The competition is for students everywhere and from all backgrounds. The award is $500. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2010. Please see the attached information for poster competition details and guidelines and where to send your design.
Konkurs dla studentów na plakat reklamowy festiwalu filmowego.
Stowarzyszenie Polaków w Austin, Texas (Austin Polish Society - APS) jest organizacją non-profit, promującą polską kulturę i sztukę. Najważniejszym wydarzeniem przynoszącym dochód przeznaczany na działalność APS jest doroczny festiwal polskich filmów w Austin (APFF). W ramach festiwalu prezentowanych jest co najmniej 6 filmów fabularnych polskich reżyserów, seria filmów dokumentalnych, krótkometrażowych, animacji oraz filmów studenckich. W tym roku APS rozpisało konkurs dla studentów na projekt plakatu festiwalowego. Zwycięski projekt posłuży jako główny plakat reklamujący 5-ty Festiwal Polskich Filmów w Austin (APFF), który odbędzie się pomiędzy 4-tym a 7-mym oraz 13-tym a 14-tym listopada 2010 roku w Austin w Teksasie.
W załączniku znajdują się wytyczne konkursu. W konkursie mogą brać udział studenci z całego świata. Nagroda dla zwycięzcy wynosi $500. Projekty można nadsyłać do 15-08-2010. Wszystkie informacje i szczegóły dotyczące konkursu oraz adres, pod który należy nadsyłać projekty znajdują się w załączniku.

In 2010, the Austin Polish Society and the Austin Public Library are presenting 16 Polish films.
This is a unique opportunity to introduce award-winning Polish films to the Austin community.
Showtimes and days vary and the library locations are mapped here.
All films will be introduced by APS Film Committee members. The films are free and open to the public.
Note: Viewer discretion is advised for viewers under 13 for films marked with PG-13 in our calendar.
