2010 STUDENT POSTER COMPETITION
The winner of 2010 Student Poster Competion is Agnieszka Ziemiszewska, Student of The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland.

The Austin Polish Film Festival has been very proud to commission talented Polish poster artist, Leszek Zebrowski, to design posters for previous festivals. This year Mr. Zebrowski suggested that APFF sponsor an international student competition to select a poster for the 2010 festival. The APFF Committee established guidelines, prepared an announcement, included a cash prize ($500), and posted notices of the competition on several websites. The competition drew submissions from the USA and different countries in Europe. There were a total of 20 exciting designs for our judges to review and select. The 2010 APFF Student Poster Gallery includes the winning poster and all other entries submitted.

Three Austin artists served as judges for the poster competition. The judges included Katherine Brimberry, artist and co-owner of the Flatbed Press; designer and Polish poster collector, Rob Story, of Sanford and Wingo; and Kelly Toombs, designer/owner of Kelly Toombs Design and an instructor at Austin Community College. The selection process and review of submissions was an interesting experience for our judges, who were excited about the quality and range of the designs.
